Fantage: The online fashion resale shop

Fantage has recently seen a decline in customers due to various issues that make it a challenging user experience for both sellers and buyers to navigate the different platforms.

Fantage uses Listy (another fictional company similar to Etsy) to list products received from sellers, but a different platform is used for sellers to send their products to Fantage.

However, Fantage utilizes a fulfillment center and pays sellers via checks instead of ACH.

The solution is to develop an all-in-one app for customers, while also refreshing the website at a later date and establishing a plan to transition away from Listy gradually.

While the project team develops the new app, the Web Developer, User Experience (UX) Designer, Web Administrator, and Fantages’ Marketing team will work together to create messaging that encourages customers to download the new mobile app.

First, the application will require the user to create a strong password and set up Face ID, fingerprint, or a PIN, depending on the mobile phone's operating system.

Second, a verified email address, phone number, and two-factor authentication (2FA) are required.

Lastly, the payment system will be TLS-certified through the SSL Extended Validation (EV) process.

The new mobile application will help attract more customers and support Fantage in transitioning from Listy while recouping costs. When the end-user uses the app, it will keep them on the Fantage platform, allowing them to open it anywhere and browse easily.
