Press Release Toolkit
As a communications professional, I understand that sharing information is not a one-size-fits-all solution, so creating audience-appropriate messages using various media is vital to a campaign. In this class, I created a communications toolkit for a press release of my choice, which included an infographic, a presentation, a script with a storyboard, and a final report. Each asset incorporates vital elements of the story, accurate information, applied communication theory, and best practices to deliver the message effectively.
The press release, titled "Realizing Government Transparency and Openness Through Standard Web Technologies," was authored by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and used to create this toolkit.
Infographic
Audience: Journalist
The infographic was created to assist journalists by transforming the text-based press release into a visual format that can be shared with their audience.

Presentation
Audience: Internal Employees
The presentation was designed for internal employees to interact with its elements and learn more about the event and the interest group hosting it. An accessible PPT is available for download.
*NOTE: The 'Accessible PPT removes animation, flashing lights, and other effects.
Script & Storyboard
Report
The report explains my creative thought process and communication strategies used to build the toolkit.
